As you are aware, the Influenza A (H1N1) is still evolving and the virus is expected to be around for sometime; and the reality is this pandemic will not stop soon. At the same time our Government is also putting a lot of effort to contain and mitigate the virus from spreading further. In relation to this, we wish to update the employees on the situation of the Influenza A (H1N1) at our workplace.
Recently one of the employees from the Malaysian Operations Division, Scomi Oiltools at Level 8, Wisma Chase Perdana has been infected with the Influenza A (H1N1). The employee has been put under home quarantine and has been advised to wear mask at all time. The employee will be on medical leave until 14th August 2009. The Human Resource team will monitor the employee’s situation at home and the latest condition, whether the employee is fit to come to work. This is to minimise the spreading of the virus.
